Itinerary

We will depart for Portugal.
Upon arrival at Lisbon International Airport, we will be welcomed and check-into the hotel.
Our pilgrimage starts this morning with a visit to St. Anthony’s Basilica where St. Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of Portugal, was born. As our tour continues we see the Belem Tower and the Gothic Monastery of St. Jeronimo. En route to Fatima we will visit the Holy Miracle Church of St. Stephen at Santarem, the site of the oldest recorded Eucharistic miracle. Finally we arrive in Fatima and check-in to the hotel.
After breakfast we will visit the Tombs of the Visionaries of Fatima; the Aljustrel where the children lived; and the Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared after the children’s return from prison. We celebrate Holy Mass at the Little Chapel of Apparitions and join for the Rosary and participate in the candlelight procession in the evening.
This morning we drive in Alba de Tormes, home of the Carmelite Monastery founded by St. Teresa of Avila. Upon arrival we will visit this Monastery where St. Teresa died and was buried. We will also visit the small museum dedicated to St. Teresa, which holds her incorrupt heart and left arm. We continue our journey to the medieval city of Avila for an overnight stay.
This morning we visit the Convent of the Incarnation where St. Teresa of Avila lived, wrote books and experienced mystical revelations. Visit the museum that is built upon the home of St. Teresa that contains her relics and that of St. John of the Cross.Finally, we will visit the Basilica of St. Vincent of Saragossa, which stands on the site of the saint's martyrdom.
This morning we proceed towards Zaragoza to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, the place where Mary appeared to the Apostle James before her assumption into heaven. Continue to visit the Cathedral of La Seo, built initially as a mosque that merges Gothic and Baroque architecture with a uniquely Spanish form called Mudejar.We will continue to visit Santa Engracia Basilica, which have the bones of martyrs killed by the Romans in 303 A.D.
This morning we journey to Barcelona, where we visit the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and celebrate Holy Mass. We continue to get a thorough look at Barcelona that showcases Las Ramblas Boulevard, Columbus Monument, Parc Montjuic, Mila House and Parc Guell.
After breakfast we journey to the incredible mountain sanctuary, OurLady of Montserrat. En route we will stop at the town of Manresa where St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, spentmonths in prayer and meditation and where he wrote his “Spiritual Exercises”. Once we arrive in Montserrat, we will celebrate Holy Mass at the Monastery.
Today we continue with an exciting tour of the Monastery where we see the statue of Our Lady of Montserrat, observe the way of the cross and enjoy some of the most incredible scenery in Spain.
This morning we journey to Lourdes through the beautiful landscape of the Pyrenees in Southern France. Upon our arrival at Lourdes, we will check-in to our hotel. This evening we will join the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament and the Blessing of the Sick. After dinner, we return to the Grotto of Lourdes for the Rosary and Candlelight Procession.
This morning we begin with a walking tour of Lourdes to visit the Upper & Lower Basilicas; the Grotto of Massabielle; Boly Mill, the birthplace of St. Bernadette; and Cachot, the home of St. Bernadette at the time of the apparitions. The rest of the day is free for adoration, confession, private devotions, reciting the Rosary and bathing in the miraculous spring. This evening we may again participate in the Candlelight Procession.
This morning, we will awaken feeling well refreshed! Following breakfast, we will journey to Toulouse to view many of the rare artefacts such as historical pipe organs, and the burial place of St. Thomas Aquinas at St. Sernin's Basilica, which is the finest Romanesque church in France.Then proceed to a beautiful village called Rocamadour, located on a limestone cliff. It is a famous penitential site where pilgrims would make the entire climb up the hill on their knees.We continue our journey to the medieval cityof Clermont-Ferrand for an overnight stay.
This morning we will visit Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral and continue through the scenic Loire valley towards Nevers. St. Bernadette lived here for 12 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. We will visit St. Gildard Convent, the site where St. Bernadette’s incorrupt body rests. While here, we will pray and reflect upon the life of the beloved Saint as well as celebrate Holy Mass.
This morning we will depart to Paris to visit to the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees and the Palace of Versailles to experience the unique expression of French art during the 17th and 18th centuries. This evening we will enjoy a Seine River cruise.
After breakfast, we visit the great churches of Paris: the Cathedral of Notre Dame, one of the most famous cathedrals that is devoted to the Blessed Mother; and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Sacre Coeur. Later in the afternoon, visit the Shrine of Vincent de Paul, and the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, where St. Catherine Laboure, a member of the Daughters of Charity, received her apparitions of Mary.
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and transfer to Paris International Airport for our return flight to Australia (B).
