Itinerary

-Arrival in Zvartnots International Airport -Transfer Airport-hotel / Check-in at the hotel. Rest -Start city tour around vibrant capital of Yerevan: Republic Square, Opera House -Cascade Monument, which is an open-air museum of modern art with hanging gardens and fountains. - Atop the monument you will get to Victory Park with the Monument to Mother Armenia gorgeously towering over the city -Visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial built in memory to the victims of Genocide -Visit open-air flea market of Vernissage, where you can find handmade souvenirs, ancient rugs, jewelry and puppets (open only on weekend) -Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
-Breakfast at the hotel -Departure to Geghard Monast ery, which is hewn out from the cave and included in the UNESCO World Heritage Optional: Choir performance of national and spiritual songs in Geghard. The architectural peculiarities of the monastery produce an authentically holy and mysterious reverberation of sound, almost a divine echo (Extra cost) -Visit Garni Temple from 1st c., the only preserved pagan temple in the Caucasus -Departure to Lake Sevan “the Pearl of Armenia” and the 2nd highest mountainous lake in the world -Sightseeing on the peninsula. Visit Sevanavank Monastery and stunning view of the lake Optional: Boat trip on the lake for an hour (seasonal activity, starting from 10 pax - 150 USD in total) -Return to the capital - Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan
-Breakfast at the hotel - Departure to Aragatsotn region to visit “Armenian Alphabet Monument’’ or the Letter Park represents giant stone letters. Set against the backdrop of Armenia's Mt. Aragats it is a favorite photo stop for all visitors. -Drive to the town of Ashtarak to participate in a Folk Theatre. The main goal of the theatre is the presentation and registration of ancient Armenian songs, dances, games, puppets, legends and instrumental music (min 10 pax in the group). -Drive to Saghmossavank medieval monastery, situated in the breathtaking site, at the deep canyon of Ashtarak. -Visit Matenadaran, unique reserve and observatory of ancient manuscripts from all over the world as well as the tiniest and largest Armenian books -Drive back to Yerevan -Leisure time. -Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
-Breakfast at the hotel -Departure to the cradle of civilization Khor Virap Monastery (4-17th cc.) which is the closest point to the Biblical Mount Ararat. In clear weather, you will have a chance to take a great picture with the mountain at the backdrop. -Continue to resort town of Jermuk, popular for its hot springs, recreational resources and mineral water bottling -Visit to the Jermuk waterfall, the highest waterfall in Armenia resembling shiny hair of a young lady -Take a cable car up to the mountain of the height 2500 m to admire the panoramic view to the resort -Drive back to Yerevan. Optional: En route visit “Taperakan Winery”, a family-owned estate in the countryside in Ararat valley, the cradle of old Armenian wine making traditions (Extra cost) -Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
-Breakfast at the hotel -Departure to Echmiadzin, the religious center of all Armenians -Visit Echmiadzin Cathedral (4th c., UNECO), the oldest Christian church ever -Continue to the ruins of Zvartnots Temple (7th c., UNESCO). -Drive back to Yerevan -Transfer to the biggest malls in Yerevan for shopping -Leisure time on your own -Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan
