Itinerary

Upon arrival at Rome Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay in Rome.Travel on to the city of Rome for a guided ancient city tour to see the imposing Colosseum, a vast amphitheater, known for its gladiator fights. Also see the Victor Emmanuel Monument, the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and much more sights of this historic city. Overnight Stay in Rome.
This morning, enjoy a guided visit to the Vatican City which includes the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica. Later in the afternoon visit St Paul outside the walls and the St. Callixtus Catacombs. Relax for the rest of the day or spend time for shopping. Overnight Stay in Rome.
The morning we proceed to Monte Cassino, the home of the sacred relics and Monastery of St. Benedict, the patron saint of Europe and the founder of western monasticism. Visit Monte Cassino war cemetery, the site of the fiercest battle during World War II that resulted in great loss of life and complete destruction of the monastic buildings. Later, in the afternoon we enjoy a drive along the beautiful Amalfi Coast, with stops for pictures at beautiful look-out points. We continue our journey to Sorrento via the ancient city of Pompeii. buried under ash for centuries, after the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, is one of the best-preserved examples of Roman civilisation. This morning, we will embark on a ferry to visit Isle of Capri and other sights with the help of a local guide. The rest of the day spend your time exploring this beautiful island on your own before returning to Sorrento in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Sorrento.
Today we depart Sorrento and drive to Urbino to visit the magnificent Ducal Palace towering over the town. We continue on to Assisi for an overnight stay. Overnight stay in Assisi.
This morning, we will visit St. Francis’ Basilica, where we see the Tomb of St. Francis. We will later enjoy a walking tour of the city, including the Church of San Rufino, and the Basilica of St. Clare, where her incorrupt body lies in repose. Later in the afternoon, we will also visit Rocca Maggiore, and finally the Oratorio Di San FrancescPiccolino. Overnight stay in Assisi.
In the morning, continue to the medieval Gubbio, where a superb view of the rooftops of the town from the Consul’s Palace. We travel north today to Ravenna, at one time an imperial city known as the “Byzantium of the West.” In the evening we will visit the Basilica of St Antony in Padua, the most revered church with the remains of the saint in the Church.Overnight stay in Padua.
After breakfast, we will drive to visit romantic Venice. On arrival, go for a walking tour of St. Mark’s square with the Basilica, Doge’s Palace, Campanile and Bridge of Sighs. Also, visit the Murano Glass showroom. Later, you will be taken on an unforgettable gondola ride through the smaller canals for a true depiction of this lagoon city. Overnight Stay in Padua.
Today we will cross the plains of Lombardy to reach fascinating city of Milan for a walking tour with a local guide We will visit the museum of La Scala Opera House, then, enjoy a walk to the glass-domed Galleria and the gothic Duomo. Travel to the beautiful Lake Maggiore with free time to explore or simply soak up the scenery. This evening we will take a private boat to an island on Lake Maggiore for a special dinner experience. This morning we will Leave Lake Maggiore and travel through the beautiful Tuscan countryside to the picturesque coastline of the Cinque Terre. Rest of the day we will spend exploring the coastline, through the five beautiful villages – Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore – that make up the Cinque Terre. In the morning, proceed to visit the leaning Tower of Pisa, the Duomo, the Campanile, the Baptistry with its Gates to Paradise, Piazza Della Signoria etc. Continue our journey to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance for an overnight stay. Overnight Stay in Florence.
This morning, proceed with a guided city tour of Florence, to visit Piazzale Michelangelo, a square on top of a hill with its replica of the impressive statue of David and also get a bird’s eye view of the city of Florence. Florence is noted all over the world for its art and craft and the historic center of the city has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Relax for the rest of the day or spend time for shopping. Overnight Stay in Florence.
This morning we will enjoy the travel to Siena, Tuscany’s most beloved and inviting city. Visit the Siena’s treasures, such as Piazza del Campo, the Duomo and St. Dominic’s Basilica. Later, in the evening, continue to Rome for an overnight stay. Overnight stay in Assisi.
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and then transfer to Rome International Airport for our return flight to Australia.
